About the company
Cirrus Aqua provides specialist borehole and aquifer services for clients seeking to inspect, rehabilitate, monitor or improve water assets. Its work centres on borehole performance, condition assessment and the removal of sediment, mineral scale and biofouling.
The company offers AirBurst, a patented compressed-gas process used for borehole development and yield enhancement. Treatment can be applied to cased and uncased vertical boreholes, inclined boreholes and radial wells or infiltration galleries. The process may be followed by airlifting, submersible pumping, CCTV inspection and hydraulic performance testing to assess the results.
Its CCTV service covers boreholes, pipework and reservoirs, with inspection, reporting and transcription available. Cirrus Aqua states that it can inspect boreholes from 50mm to 1000mm in diameter and up to 300m deep, with options for archived recordings and digital transcription of older media.
Further capabilities include borehole rehabilitation using brushing, acidisation and pneumatic impulse systems; downhole geophysical logging for calliper, gamma, temperature and flow; 3D modelling and visualisation; and local or remote monitoring for individual boreholes and well fields. High-pressure jetting and pigging are also available for raw-water transmission pipework affected by mineral build-up or biofouling.
The service is suited to water-industry, hydrogeological and asset-management requirements where reliable borehole information, improved performance or ongoing monitoring is important. Speak to the team about a standalone investigation or a combined inspection, rehabilitation and testing package.
