J S Group

J S Group, also identified in public records as J.S. Drilling, is a Thomastown-based drilling and environmental services business. Its published activities include drilling and boring, well drilling and well services, with work extending across geological, hydrogeological and environmental applications.

The business has carried out monitoring-well and groundwater-related projects, including drilling and installing monitoring wells for site assessment. Public project material also describes environmental land remediation, soil and groundwater treatment, bioremediation, chemical oxidation, precipitation, excavation and disposal through the associated JS Remediation operation.

Its experience is relevant to technically demanding work for industrial and commercial clients, including pharmaceutical, mining and petrochemical organisations, as well as local authorities. The available evidence also places the business within the wider contractor and consultancy sector, rather than presenting it solely as a domestic water-well provider.

For organisations planning investigation, monitoring, drilling or remediation work, the company appears suited to projects requiring specialist ground and groundwater expertise. Public sources identify Jim Stephenson as managing director and describe a business established in 2004, although the official website could not be fetched during this review.
