Soiltec Laboratories Limited provides geo-environmental drilling, geotechnical site investigation and laboratory testing from its base near Maidstone. The company works throughout the south-east and beyond, supporting architects, engineers and developers with investigations for building and civil engineering projects.

Its drilling capability includes hand auger work, hydraulic hand-held window and windowless sampling, track-mounted Terrier rig operations, dynamic probing, shell and auger drilling and rotary drilling. The Premier 110 windowless sampler rig is designed for efficient soil sampling and testing, while the compact Terrier rig can be used in confined or difficult-to-access locations.

Services also include soakage testing to BRE365, BS5930 and NHBC methods, water well drilling, water attenuation and distribution, crack monitoring and geotechnical reporting. The company’s site investigation work can include SPT, CPT and dynamic probing to support foundation and pile design.

Testing is carried out in an in-house laboratory, covering routine geotechnical analysis to BS1377, soil and water chemistry, bacteriological water analysis, CBR, consolidation, compaction and particle-size distribution.
